1. Privacy Policy

Controller: LeanProductForge · 4 Rue du Québec, 3ème étage, 76000 Rouen, France

LeanProductForge (“LeanProductForge”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through leanproductforge.com and related professional interactions. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we process it, and the rights available to you under applicable law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

1.1 Data We Collect

We may collect identification and contact data (name, email address, telephone number, company name), project-related content you submit through inquiry forms, correspondence metadata, and limited technical data such as browser type, approximate location, and pages viewed when you browse our website.

1.2 Purposes and Legal Bases

We process personal data to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals and statements of work, deliver contracted SaaS engineering services, process invoices and payment confirmation, maintain security and prevent abuse, and comply with statutory record-keeping obligations. Legal bases include contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interests in operating and securing our professional services (Art. 6(1)(f)), and consent where required, such as optional marketing communications (Art. 6(1)(a)).

1.3 Recipients and International Transfers

Personal data may be shared with service providers who support hosting, email, analytics, payment processing (including Stripe), and project collaboration tools, each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

1.4 Retention

Inquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after last meaningful contact. Contractual and invoicing records are retained for the period required by French commercial and tax law. You may request earlier deletion where no overriding legal basis applies.

1.5 Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) or your local supervisory authority.

2. Terms of Service

Effective for all SaaS engineering engagements via LeanProductForge

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of LeanProductForge’s website and the provision of professional SaaS engineering services by LeanProductForge, 4 Rue du Québec, 3ème étage, 76000 Rouen, France. By submitting an inquiry, signing a proposal, or paying an invoice, you agree to these Terms.

2.1 Scope of Services

Services may include multi-tenant platform architecture, onboarding flow design, recurring billing engineering, subscription analytics, security hardening, portals, migration, and related advisory work. The definitive scope is the statement of work (“SOW”) or proposal accepted by both parties. Material changes to scope require written agreement and may adjust price or schedule.

2.2 Fees, Invoicing, and Payment

Fees are stated in proposals and invoices. Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit may be required to reserve engineering capacity, with the balance due according to the payment schedule in the SOW. Payments are processed through secure third-party processors, including Stripe. Late payments may accrue interest at the statutory rate and may suspend active work.

2.3 Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide timely access to information, credentials, stakeholders, and feedback reasonably required for delivery. Delays in client dependencies may extend timelines on a day-for-day basis or trigger rescheduling of engineering sprints.

2.4 Intellectual Property

Upon full payment of the applicable invoice(s), LeanProductForge assigns to you all intellectual property rights in the client-specific deliverables created under the SOW, excluding LeanProductForge’s pre-existing frameworks, tooling, and reusable code libraries, which are licensed to you for use within the delivered project. Third-party open-source components remain subject to their original licenses.

2.5 Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other’s confidential information with reasonable care and use it solely to perform under the engagement. Confidentiality obligations survive for three years after engagement completion, or indefinitely for trade secrets.

2.6 Warranties and Liability

LeanProductForge warrants that services will be performed with professional skill and care consistent with industry standards. Except as expressly stated, services are provided without other warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeanProductForge’s aggregate liability arising from an engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

2.7 Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement for material breach if the breach remains uncured for fifteen (15) days after written notice. LeanProductForge may suspend work for non-payment. On termination, you pay for services performed and non-cancellable third-party costs incurred up to the effective date.

3. Cookie Policy

Applies to leanproductforge.com and the LeanProductForge inquiry experience

Cookies and similar technologies are small text files or local-storage entries placed on your device when you visit our website. LeanProductForge uses them to operate the site, remember preferences, measure aggregate usage, and support secure form handling.

3.1 Categories We Use

  • Strictly necessary: session integrity, security, and core site functionality (for example, remembering your cookie-consent choice in local storage).
  • Preferences: remembering UI or layout choices that improve continuity across visits.
  • Analytics: aggregated, low-identity insights that help us understand which pages and services matter most to visitors.
  • Payment-related: cookies set by our payment processor (Stripe) when you use the Pay link or checkout experiences.

3.2 Consent and Controls

Where required, non-essential cookies are set only after you accept the floating cookie banner. You can accept or decline via that banner, and you may clear cookies or local-storage entries through your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair parts of the site, including form state and consent persistence.

3.3 Third Parties

Third parties such as Google (fonts, maps embeds), Tailwind (CDN assets), and Stripe (payments) may receive standard technical data required to deliver their services. We do not use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles for our visitors.

3.4 Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The revision date at the top of the legal page indicates the latest effective version. Questions about cookies can be directed to [email protected].

4. Refund Policy

Applies to engagements funded via LeanProductForge invoices and Stripe payment links

LeanProductForge is committed to fair, documented refund handling for SaaS engineering work. Refund eligibility depends on engagement stage and whether reserved engineering capacity or third-party costs have already been consumed.

4.1 Pre-Kickoff Cancellations

If you cancel in writing before the engagement kickoff date and before any discovery work has begun, any deposit paid for that engagement is refunded in full, less non-refundable third-party fees already paid on your behalf (for example, purchased licenses or reserved cloud resources).

4.2 Post-Kickoff Adjustments

After kickoff, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis for unused prepaid work in the current milestone. Completed milestone invoices remain payable. If you elect to pause rather than cancel, reserved capacity can be held for up to thirty (30) days before it is released to other clients.

4.3 Defect Correction

If a delivered milestone does not meet the acceptance criteria documented in the SOW, LeanProductForge will correct the non-conforming work at no additional professional fee within a reasonable period. Refunds are not a substitute for reasonable correction and re-delivery efforts where the defect is within our control.

4.4 Payment Processing

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method (card, bank transfer, or Stripe payment link) within ten (10) business days after approval, subject to the processing times of the payment provider.

4.5 How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] with your invoice reference, project name, and the reason for the request. We acknowledge refund inquiries within two (2) business days and provide a written decision with the calculation basis.
